Beating Burnout at Work: The Secret to Well-Being and Resilience

Long before the pandemic gripped the world and blurred the lines between home and work, we had become a nation suffering high levels of burnout. Burnout has become one of the most talked-about workplace topics, and its impact is far-reaching. The fast pace and always-on nature of modern work have put millions of professionals on a path to burnout, not only affecting the health and well-being of employees but the organization itself. In this edifying webinar, author and resiliency expert Paula Davis will show us how we must shift our attention to the causes of burnout and embrace a systemic, holistic solution. She will provide a research-driven and actionable comprehensive approach for building the resilience of teams of all sizes. She will also provide a new framework to reshape organizational policies and decision-making around political, social, and economic issues that contribute to workplace stress. 

About the author: Paula Davis JD, MAPP, is the Founder and CEO of the Stress & Resilience Institute, a training and consulting firm that partners with organizations to help them reduce burnout and build resilience at the team, leader, and organizational level. Paula earned a master’s degree in applied positive psychology. Paula has worked with thousands of professionals, leaders, and teams in many industries, including many of the world’s largest law firms. Her expertise has been featured in The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, The Washington Post, and many other publications. Paula is also a contributor to Forbes, Fast Company, and Psychology Today. Paula is a two-time recipient of the distinguished teaching award from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

About APAC


APAC is made up of 24 Administrative Professional members and 2 ex-officio members. Council members represent a variety of areas including system-wide academic and managerial departments from Everett, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, and Extension offices statewide.

Council members are appointed in the spring and serve a three-year term beginning in July. There are also 4 alternate members that serve one-year terms beginning in July.
