Leaning into Allyship with Katrina Jones

Allyship is a practice that can help organizational cultures evolve, and be more inclusive. We’ll explore allyship — why it matters, what it looks like in theory and in action, and how to truly be an ally across differences, so we can create a culture of belonging for all.
Katrina Jones is the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Leader for AWS Global Infrastructure business, and works with stakeholders across the business to develop solutions that improve organizational health and employee engagement, and disrupt bias in order to foster a more equitable and inclusive workplace. Katrina has specialized expertise in this space — she’s served as a diversity and inclusion lead at large, complex global companies and startups, and has created diversity and inclusion strategies designed to attract, retain and advance talent from marginalized communities. Katrina’s expertise in this space is sharpened by her previous experience working in HR, where she’s worked in a variety of roles and functions, from recruiting to employee relations and compliance.
