Her expertise has been featured in The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, The Washington Post, and many other publications. Paula is also a contributor to Forbes, Fast Company, and Psychology Today. Paula is a two-time recipient of the distinguished teaching award from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Reel Conversations with Cougs: The Social Dilemma

The WSU Alumni Association is excited for Cougs to join the exclusive, online movie club, Reel Conversations with Cougs. This self-paced, virtual movie club is hosted through a private forum where you will discuss “movies that matter” as all film selections are connected to history and social issues. The forum provides a platform to chat about what you’re watching and the option to make friends with other Cougs.

Reel Conversations with Cougs is completely FREE and open to all WSU alumni, students, and friends. Movie selections will be available to stream online via Netflix or Amazon Prime.  The group will watch a range of different movies including box office hits, Oscar winners, independent films, and documentaries. If you love watching movies, care about history and social issues, and want to stay connected with other Cougs, this is definitely the place for you!

You’ll receive regular emails to help you get the most of your movie-watching experience, from suggested timelines to moderated online discussions facilitated by Professional Book Club Guru.

The WSUAA movie club, Reel Conversations with Cougs, will hold its discussion on The Social Dilemma from December 10 – December 31, 2021.

The Joy of Coffee: From Tiny Seeds to Your Morning Cup

Coffee can be an unremarkable caffeine delivery system… or a rewarding sensory experience. Join coffee scientist and consultant, Shawn Steiman, as he takes us through a coffee seed’s journey from the tree which grew it to the cup you’re drinking from. He’ll focus on myriad topics along that journey, such as growing, roasting, and tasting, to help guide drinkers in their understanding of coffee and their discovery of what they will likely enjoy.
